To me, connecting with your future selves is not about overriding the present moment or trying to jump ahead. It is about calling on “future self” (or older sister-like / auntie-like / great-auntie-like) wisdom and ways of being that I believe already exist within us. It is about calling on these older women (our future selves) to support us when we feel deeply alone, at a loss for what to do next and/or feel like we’re so tired of trying to “do it all” by ourselves.
It is about feeling and being held by these future selves who have already been through what we are experiencing now and made it to the other side, earning wisdom along the way.
