About me

I am originally from San Francisco and feel most at home along the California coast. In my free time I love slow mornings, long walks, reading, being in the ocean and exploring new recipes, music and places with loved ones. I find joy and awe in the resilience of humans - and like all natural beings, how we create life and beauty no matter where we find ourselves.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in marketing and sales at various tech companies including Pinterest and a small digital advertising start-up in San Francisco. That season of my life, followed by a shift to pursue a path in holistic psychotherapy, has helped give me perspective and understanding for the opportunities, challenges and crossroads that many of my clients face.

Whatever brings you here now, I trust the wisdom in your timing. I am so grateful to be with my clients on their journeys, and I look forward to meeting you too.

A note on our therapeutic relationship

I hold the therapeutic relationship as sacred and I welcome women of all ages, body sizes, abilities, races, countries of origin, sexual orientations, and religious and cultural backgrounds in my practice. I also acknowledge the systems of power, privilege and oppression that we live in and strive to provide anti-racist and identity-affirming care.

In our therapeutic relationship, my style is warm, authentic and compassionate. I cherish the privilege of hearing your story, and I’m also curious about what happens for you as you tell it: at times I may pause us to create some space because I find that slowing things down can be healing in and of itself. Overall I trust your pace, and I’m here to guide us when things feel overwhelming.

My approach

I find that holistic psychotherapy can be calming, real and transformative. My approach is collaborative, has a present moment focus and integrates body-mind-spirit. I believe that personal healing is unique and also interconnected. In our work together we’ll explore what’s here now: within you as well as with the relationships, sociocultural contexts, and natural environments that impact you and your wellbeing.

Witnessing the ways my clients show up to therapy each week is beyond humbling: to see your courage and dedication to the process, and then to see the relief, connection, and wellbeing that comes with commitment to this work, is a gift and so inspiring.

Therapeutic training and education

I largely orient from a lens of Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, a comprehensive body-centered approach to Psychotherapy that integrates Eastern principles of non-violence and mindfulness, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), a holistic modality for resourcing and processing traumatic experience. I’ve completed the Hakomi and SP Level 1 intensive trainings, as well as SP webinars on sociocultural perspectives and complex grief.

I received my M.A. in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and my B.S. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

In addition to my formal education and training, I draw from various teachers over the years (including clients!), spiritual practices, and nature. The lineages of yoga, breema, holistic psychotherapy, intersectional feminism and rites of passage have supported my own healing journey and greatly impact my work as a psychotherapist.
